Hello. I am Renee', a self taught abstract artist, based in Townsville North Queensland. I have always loved art. I took every art class I could in high school and university and was awarded subject Dux for Practical Art in grade 12. I have also had my artwork displayed at the Townsville Perc Tucker art gallery.
However, painting really became an absolute need/ my therapy after experiencing debilitating pregnancy related illness Hyperemesis Gravidarum, followed by months of severe sleep deprivation after becoming a mum to 2 beautiful boys, Finn and Hugo. It has been my outlet for dealing with the pain and trauma that arose from these events.
I decided to put some of my art pieces up for sale, as I was running out of room to store them. In doing this I had enquiries come through about creating custom art pieces. I have learnt along the way, during the creation of each custom art piece. This has led to the development of a straightforward process (see custom art process) that I believe makes it easy for my customers to have a unique piece of art created for them.
I work with acrylic paint, alcohol ink and plaster of paris to create one of a kind, modern artworks on canvas and boarded frames. I absolutely love to create my artwork with the intention of adding individuality to and completeing those cozy spaces around the home. I tend to create paintings that are full of texture and detail and therefore perfect for adding a pop of life and colour to any blank wall.

CUSTOM ART PROCESS
HOW DOES THE CUSTOM ART PROCESS WORK?
The process for commissioning me to complete a custom art piece usually works like this.
1. I gather all the details required to create a custom artwork to match your specifications, for e.g. quantity, size, colour palette, orientation, and whether you would like your artwork framed or not. Photos of the space you would like to hang the artwork, and samples of my art pieces you like best are also helpful to form a base to build your art from.
2. I provide an obligation free quote.
3. If you are happy to go ahead a 50% deposit is made via paypal invoicing or Pay ID (this deposit is non refundable and covers material costs).
4. I create a colour sample for you to approve and then begin creating your art, sending photo updates along the way.
5. Once you are 100% happy with your piece the remaining 50% is paid and collection is made.
Please NOTE: You aren't obliged to buy the artwork I create for you, if you aren't absolutely in love with it ( i will do my absolute best to ensure you are though 😊) but the original 50% deposit is non refundable as it covers the cost of materials purchased to create the artwork. HOW MUCH DOES CUSTOM ART COST?
Each custom art piece is quoted individually once all the required information has been received via DM or Email. Due to this an exact custom art price guide cannot be created. However, most of the custom artwork I have completed recently has fallen between the $150 to $300 mark. In the case of large spaces where 2 to 3 canvases are required price points would typically be between $450 to $700. Hopefully, these pricing estimates give some insight, but please send through a message to receive an obligation free quote for your specific requirements.
